Art with Heart: A Wonderful Exhibition

Last week, we were blown away by the success of an incredible art exhibition organised by one of our amazing supporter families. Showcasing the stunning works of Laura Wallace and Annabel Pope, the event was not only a celebration of art, but also a heartfelt tribute to Michael Scott who died from pulmonary fibrosis a year earlier.

Despite icy weather, the preview evening on 21st November 2024 was a warm and joyful gathering. Guests sipped on [generously donated] Candover Brook fizz, enjoyed delicious nibbles, and marvelled at the beautiful artworks on display.  The relaxed ‘open studio’ the next day welcomed more visitors who enjoyed a leisurely browse of the artwork over tea and cakes.

Thanks to ticket sales, donations, raffle tickets, generous sponsorship from Aardvark Safaris, and the artists’ kind contribution of 20% commission from their sales, the event raised an extraordinary £9,736.  Every penny will go toward supporting our vital research work into pulmonary fibrosis, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this possible.

A Chance to Own Beautiful Artwork

We’re thrilled and honoured to share that both artists, Laura Wallace and Annabel Pope, are continuing to support our charity by donating 20% of all sales through their websites until Christmas. If you’re looking for unique and meaningful Christmas gifts, their artwork is a perfect choice. From enchanting landscapes to vibrant wildlife, their pieces are bound to make cherished presents for loved ones (or yourself!).

Thank you to everyone who supported and sponsored this event, and a special thank you to Laura Wallace, Annabel Pope and to Michael’s family – Pippa, Amanda, Nick and Jackie. Your big-heartedness shines brightly, and we are forever grateful.
