The Holst Singers together with Michael Waldron (Conductor) and James Orford (Organist) performed a wonderful selection of seasonal Christmas music at the majestic St Pancras Church in Euston last Friday – the concert held a profound significance this year as it marked our first concert and collective gathering since December 2019, a long-awaited reunion after the challenges of the COVID pandemic.
The Holst Singers, ever radiant in their performance, captivated the audience with beloved Christmas Carols such as ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ and ‘Once in Royal David’s City’ with enthusiastic audience participation. We were delighted to be joined by Evan Davis, our guest reader – his second reading , ‘A Yuletide Encounter with Chat GPT’ was full of humour, but with a poignant Christmas message.
Our enormous appreciation to Jane Walker for organising our annual Breathing Matters Christmas Concert and grateful thanks to everyone who helped with advertising the concert and helped at the church on the evening.
All profits raised from this concert will go to Professor Brown’s research into bronchiectasis at UCL Respiratory. For those unable to attend, but willing to support our cause, donations are warmly welcomed here.
Our Christmas Concert was a magnificent start to the festive season, embracing everyone in a spirit of joy and generosity. If you would like to receive information about our 2024 Christmas Concert, please email Jane Walker – missjanewalker@hotmail.com
