It is IPF Awareness Week on 18-24 September 2011.
Melanie Stone is running the Bupa Great North Run on Sunday, 18 September 2011 to help boost awareness of this little known, yet devastating disease.
See Melanie’s story in the South Shields Gazette or on our Breathing Matters website.
Is there anything you can do to help raise awareness of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis?
You don’t have to run a half marathon!
- How about a coffee and cake morning in your local community hall?
- Or a cheese and wine tasting party in the evening?
- Or perhaps a sponsored walk around the local football pitch on a weekend morning?
Like Melanie, you could contact your local newspaper to help publicise the event. And you may even be able to raise some funds at the same time!
Good luck and have fun.
