On Wednesday January 19th 2011, the Breathing Matters fund was officially launched by Prof Geoff Laurent, Director of the Centre for Respiratory Research.
Prof Laurent was joined by his team of scientists and researchers as well as respiratory doctors from University College Hospital.
The event was attended by over 120 patients who were invited to hear a series of presentations about the CRR and speak directly to doctors and scientists from UCH and the CRR.
Speakers included Dr Jo Porter, Malcolm Weallans and Manjiry Tamhane who spoke about topics ranging from living with a respiratory disease through to the importance of patient feedback in shaping future scientific investigations.
